The Schindler 1000 Plus features a gearless drive system with Suspension Traction Media (STM) to ensure efficient operation and long-term availability. Combined with our new, lightweight elevator car and upgraded fixation system, this provides passengers with both a smoother and quieter ride.
Regenerative drive technology is standard throughout our modular product family, including the Schindler 1000 Plus. This reduces travel energy by 30% compared to conventional technology.
Improving energy efficiency is essential for reducing the environmental impact of elevators and the buildings they serve. Eco-friendly features such as regenerative drive, LED lighting, and standby mode while parked, are standard in all Schindler 1000 Plus elevators. This makes it possible to achieve the highest energy-efficiency rating class according to ISO 25745-2*.

All the key components sit in the shaft, eliminating the need for a machine room and eliminating complex access while freeing up space for other uses.
The system requires minimal headroom to fit in the existing shaft headroom.
